Majestic Plaza
Wenceslas Square
About this hotel
New 4 stars Best Western Premier Hotel Majestic Plaza is an ideal place for business as well as leisure travelers opened in August 2007 in the city centre of "Golden Prague", just few steps from the famous Wenceslas Square. Seven-storey hotel combines Art Deco and Biedermeier styles and offers high standards of comfort and friendly atmosphere. On the top floor with an extraordinary view of Prague Castle guests will find Latin American Havana Club with live music, restaurants, Majestic Panorama club, and also Sauna and Whirlpool and 23 parking places available.
The hotel is actually formed from two separate historic buildings joined together: one fronting Školská street, built in 1880 in the Biedermeier style, and the other with its entrance on Štěpánská street, built in the Art Deco period as one of Prague's early purpose-built administrative buildings. The Školská building has a specific literary claim to fame — it is recorded as the birthplace of Jaroslav Hašek, the Czech writer best known for The Good Soldier Švejk, one of the most widely translated Czech novels of the 20th century.
Hotel Prague Location:
The hotel sits on Štěpánská, a quieter side street running just off Wenceslas Square in Nové Město (New Town), the district Charles IV laid out in the 14th century as a planned extension to the medieval city. Despite the central position, the street itself is largely residential and administrative rather than lined with tourist shops, giving a calmer base from which to reach the square, the National Museum, and the surrounding restaurant and shopping streets on foot.

Our stay was absolutely amazing, especially considering the price. The value you get here is unbeatable for such a great location. The room was excellent, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bedding looked beautifully chic and fresh. Another absolute highlight was the breakfast. It was excellent, featuring variety of high quality choices with some changed every day. The staff members were extremely helpful and welcoming throughout our entire trip. I was also highly impressed by the hotel's upkeep; it seemed like the staff was cleaning non-stop, especially on weekdays. I cannot recommend this hotel enough and will definitely stay here again next time I am in Prague!
A great hotel only 5 minutes walk to the famous Wenceslas Square. Breakfast included is very good, no shortage of choices from savoury to sweet and plenty of it. Staff are great, rooms are good, no complaints apart from being too warm for us, but that's a subjective topic, but we were unable to regulate the temperature to what we liked. Not wanting to take all the good away with the temp issue, so 4 stars from us. We would stay again.
Well located hotel near the centre and not far from the tram and train station. Rooms are compact, but clean and well furnished. Bathroom is nice. Lacks natural light would be the main negative. Plenty of accessible plugs for charging and has independent Aircon. Breakfast has great variety and all good quality and well made. Staff have all been friendly.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Great price for a great location (off Wenceslas Square, but far enough up the street that we don't get much loud noise from other tourists at night), and the breakfast bar was plentiful and delicious. The hotel bar also had good cocktails. The front desk/reservations team was also willing to work with me when my flight was delayed to ensure that my companion could check in first without me, so I really appreciate that. I would recommend this place to other people and stay here again.
We were looking for somewhere close to eat without having to walk too far from our apartment, so decided to try the restaurant in the Majestic as it was close by. When we arrived, there was no one dining at the time, so we asked at reception if they were still serving food. The receptionist rather dryly told us to ask at the bar. At the bar, however, we received a much warmer welcome and were kindly shown through to a table in the restaurant. The menu had plenty of options, even for a vegetarian like me, which was great to see. The food itself was lovely and beautifully presented. A special mention to our waiter, Yurii, who was very attentive and checked in on us regularly, despite us being the only customers. Overall, a slightly mixed first impression, but the food and service in the restaurant more than made up for it.
