The building the hotel occupies has documented roots going back to 1383, and its restaurant, vaulted cellars and several guest rooms still show gothic features from that period, overlaid with a baroque remodelling carried out in the 18th century that shapes the façade seen today. It operates as a small, family-run hotel rather than a large chain property, with a restaurant serving traditional Czech dishes alongside international options in rooms that mix the historic stonework and vaulting with more contemporary furnishings.
