Hotel Tristar Olympik

Average looking hotel rooms, I have nothing to complain about except the bathroom door which cannot be closed all the way and have no lock. Staff members are nice. Breakfest and dinner are amazing for this price range. The hotel is far away from the old city center. There are a few nice pubs and fast food places within 20 minute walking range so you don't need to use delivery.

We found ants in our beds, the room wasn't cleaned properly, there were a lot of stains on the walls, on the sheets, in the bathroom, everywhere... Bathroom had a very distinct smell, possibly from sewerage. Food in the cafeteria was tasteless, especially the cakes and drinks, pancakes seemed like they were under-baked. Staff was rude. Overall, avoid this hotel if you want a cozy and peaceful stay.

The rooms were clean, but I personally didn't like that there were two twin beds instead of one king size mattress. Also the window doesn't open, so the air in the room can get quite stale. The breakfast was quite nice, always warm, but I didn't see many vegetarian or vegan options. Anyway, it was fine for the price.

I was absolutely shocked by the attitude I received from the front desk employee. Not only was she extremely inhospitable and rude, but she also made racist comments toward me and my spouse. This behavior is completely unacceptable and should not be tolerated.

I booked this place then read the reviews, and expected the worst . But , it's a cheap bedroom factory , what do people expect 5 *???? Receptionist was polite and efficient , restaurant staff were efficient, breakfast was buffet style , good selection, good value , rooms clean , tidy efficient. Ok the TV was small ,but you go there to sleep!!!! The shower was honestly the most powerful I have ever seen in any hotel (2nd floor might have helped the pressure) Overall excellent value, some noise in the corridors, but nothing too loud or long , mainly clunky doors . Would recommend for an overnight stay.
