About this hotel
The Falkensteiner hotel Maria in Prague was just opened in March, 2004 by the Falkensteiner, a family who run several small but very well-equipped hotels in Tyrol, Austria and Croatia. This is their first hotel in Prague, and a dream come true for the family. You are sure to enjoy your stay in this carefully restored building from the year 1860.
Location
A better location is hard to find - right next to Wenceslas Square. This are features some of the best shopping in the country, as well as fine restaurants and the National Museum. From Wenceslas Square it is possible to travel all over Prague, because it has 2 different Metro station (Mustek and Museum - both of which are transfer points) and many trams.

Just wow! One of the best stays ever. The staff is amazing the cleaning team is just wonderful always respecting the space and privacy. The beds are insanely good and the design is just hard to beat at this price point. Will be definitely back to stay at this place. And gosh, the breakfast is just above what you can imagine.
Our stay at the Falkensteiner Hotel Prague was absolutely wonderful; every aspect of the experience exceeded our expectations. The rooms were truly great, offering a perfect blend of comfort and style that made for an incredibly relaxing retreat after a long day of exploring the city. What really sets this hotel apart, however, is the incredible hospitality; every single member of the service staff was constantly smiling, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help with a positive attitude. The highlight of each morning was undoubtedly the breakfast, which we highly recommend to anyone staying here; the selection was fantastic and the quality was superb. The combination of excellent accommodations, top-notch customer service, and a phenomenal morning meal made our visit truly unforgettable. If you are looking for a perfect place to stay during your time in Prague, look no further; this hotel is an exceptional choice.
Perfect location and friendly staff. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices. Our room was clean, beautifully decorated, spacious, and equipped with everything we needed. A huge plus is the beautifully and fully equipped gym. Highly recommended!
I had an amazing experience at the same hotel in Mariánské Lázně, which is why I chose to stay at the Prague branch. Unfortunately, the experience was completely different. The service was far below five-star standards. From check-in to check-out, I received no assistance, despite the hotel having many stairs. Every time I asked for help, the receptionist said, “I’m the only one here, I can’t help you.” They also didn’t have a power adapter or a luggage scale available. The only positives were the excellent location and the great monkey bar service. Overall, this stay was very disappointing.
This is a beautiful hotel, with lovely amenities and a general sense luxury and high standards. The breakfast was of a high quality, with exceptional service. The location is very convenient. The housekeeping staff were also friendly and efficient. I really enjoyed my stay in the deluxe double room. My only significant gripe is about the air-conditioning. The lowest setting it would allow was 20C, and the lowest it actually managed to achieve was 22C. This was escalated to reception multiple times. It was initially met with casual dismissal, but I was later told it had been fixed. It turned out that this fix was to leave a small fan on the counter near the tv. Note: I started writing this review soon after my stay, but for some reason was not able to complete it at the time, so this is extremely delayed, and it’s possible that my perspective is outdated. Feel free to let me know if this is the case.
