About this hotel

The hotel Julis Apartments was originally built in the 1926 by renowned Czech architect Pavel Janack, the building is found in what is know as Prague's "Golden Crossroads" because of its desirability for shops, offices and residents. After the renovation of all the apartments, which offer nowadays all the modern facilities, the building maintained the original international Style.

The building was designed by the Czech architect Pavel Janák and is considered a notable example of 1920s constructivist architecture in Prague, built on a narrow plot with a passageway through to the street behind. Its lower floor originally held a terraced café and cake shop conceived in the spirit of the nearby Hotel Avion, and today the upper rooms retain views over Wenceslas Square and the neighbouring Franciscan Garden, a small park tucked just behind the square's busy frontage.

Location: The hotel is located in the Heart of Prague, along the main, historical and exclusive area of the city: "Staré Mesto". This Hotel in Prague Benefits from being the convergence point of the entire city's major communication links. Buses, metro and tram are easily accessible in within 30 metres walking. Around the Golden Crossroads you will find plenty to do, with a variety of shops, restaurants, bars and cinemas, amongst them some of the Czech Republic's most exclusive. The area is also the centre of the capital's cultural life with a host of displays, exhibitions, shows and musical events happening at any one time. Close to the hotel you can find Staromestské námestí - the most spectacular square in Prague and the focal point of the city since the 11th century.

Location

The hotel stands directly on Wenceslas Square, one of Prague's principal boulevards and a traditional dividing line between the Old Town and New Town, putting shops, restaurants and the square's metro station within a few minutes on foot, alongside quieter side streets leading to the Franciscan Garden.

The location is definitely the biggest advantage of this hotel. It’s right in the city center, making it easy to explore Prague on foot. Unfortunately, the hotel didn’t meet my expectations in other areas. The cleanliness could be much better, and the bathrooms had an unpleasant smell during my stay. Considering the facilities and overall condition, I also found the price to be quite high. It wasn’t a terrible experience, but I wouldn’t choose to stay here again or recommend it.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. All the staff are very attentive. The room was impeccably clean and meticulously prepared. The breakfast is wonderful! There's no shortage of food options. I have nothing but praise for the hotel. I will definitely return many more times.

Stayed at this hotel in Prague and overall it was *good, nice, and everything was fine*. 1. Room & Cleanliness The room was clean and well maintained. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was neat, towels were fresh. AC worked properly. *No complaints*. All basic amenities like kettle, TV, and WiFi were available and working. 2. Location The location was convenient. A tram/metro stop was close by, so reaching Old Town and main attractions was easy. There were cafes and a grocery store nearby as well. 3. Service & Staff Staff was polite and helpful. Check-in was smooth with no issues. Communication was easy as they spoke English well. 4. Breakfast/Food Breakfast was simple but *good enough*. Standard continental spread - bread, eggs, fruit, coffee. Nothing fancy, but enough for a proper start to the day. *A solid, no-nonsense stay*. There wasn’t a wow factor, but everything worked the way it should. Clean, safe, and convenient. Good value for a tourist stay. If you want basic comfort without any drama, this place does the job. *Overall, nice experience*. Tip:* Ask for a room with a window if possible - you get a nice street view.

My stay was disappointing overall. The room was missing basic kitchen appliances (spoons!!) which made it inconvenient to use. It also wasn’t properly cleaned, and despite being a non-smoking room, it smelled strongly of cigarettes.

Decent stay, but more what you would expect for a 3 star what goes for the facilities in the room. Room was great though, but a noisy empty minibar. Easy access rooms via elevator. Very nice breakfast, great variety and lots to choose from, welcoming staff, kindness is appreciated. Beds were made and towels changed each day, easy cleaning , super 👌 👌
