Hotel Iron Gate

We can’t say enough about this hotel. Classic style and charming. Restaurant and bar are outstanding. Usually live piano music in the bar in the evenings. But what stands out the most is the staff. In particular Patrick!!! He helped so much in valeting our car (understatement as we were lost and he came to us and drove to the hotel) helping find multiple places in town. Truly first class service. We can’t await to return.

We had a wonderful stay at Iron Gate Hotel & Suites for our 20th anniversary. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is absolutely beautiful, with charming historic architecture and elegant decor that made our visit feel truly special. The location is excellent—right in the heart of the Old Town and within easy walking distance of Prague’s major attractions, restaurants, and shops. The breakfast was another highlight of our stay, offering a great selection of fresh and delicious options each morning. The combination of the stunning surroundings, comfortable accommodations, and outstanding location made this hotel the perfect base for exploring Prague. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend Iron Gate Hotel & Suites to anyone visiting the city.

Superb hotel right in the heart of the old town. Despite its prime location, our room on the third floor was quiet and we slept well. Location was perfect. We walked everywhere, and it felt safe. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. Standard European hot and cold buffet, with selection of pastries and breads. Our room was a Junior Suite and was beautifully decorated and furnished. There was ample storage and space for me, husband and 5 year old. Air con, large smart TV, mini bar, safe, bath, and the most comfortable firm mattress I've ever slept on. Housekeeping does an amazing job, our room was well replenished and cleaned daily. The hotel restaurant is superb, we dined there twice which is rare for us! We would return to this hotel in a heartbeat.

Excellently placed historic hotel in heart of old town with charming rooms. A very helpful Patrik offered us a warm welcome and assistance with baggage and providing vase for our flowers. Room service had excellent timing, and unlike other Czech hotels these did not wake us up and instead offered a very professional hotel service. House keeping attentively saw to the room as soon as we left for breakfast. By the time we came back every day, the room was squeaky clean and bed made up. One note about the room: it was a bit cold and we could not find a useful way to heat it. Even with fan set to 25 degrees, the ac was obviously cooling down the room.

We found the Iron Gate Hotel and Suites on an app and were so pleasantly surprised. From our late arrival to our early departure five days later the staff and facilities were excellent. The receptionists were friendly and responsive to our questions and needs, always friendly. We had breakfast and dinner from the main menu as well as the breakfast included with our room. The ala carte breakfast was delicious. I had eggs with deer sausage (as did my son) and my wife had the British breakfast with sausage. We all enjoyed it. The OJ was fresh-squeezed and the coffee was just right. The buffet-style breakfast was tasty with a good selection of eggs, breakfast meats (bacon, salami, ham, etc.), oatmeal, fresh fruits, juices, coffee, and pastries. The staff were courteous and attentive. The hotel has a great location, inside the Old Town district (so taxis and Ubers cannot drive you to the front door). The hotel internet was reliable. Overall, a great stay in one of the most desirable locations. The price was spot on for this level of hotel. We will return.
