Hotel Brixen

In comparison to photos on Booking we were disappointed with room standard. It was old, furnitire were a bit damaged. It was medium clean, which was especially visible in the bathroom. Shower was really small and leaky. We got room on the last floor and it was extremely hot eventhough during our stay weather was moderate. Breakfast was okay, quality to price good, but nothing special (unlike some opinions claimimg it was so 'amazing'). Localization good, close to tram and metro station, to Old Market about 20-25 minutes walk. Parking really tiny, uncomfortable, 20€/day (only to 10 AM the dat you leave eventhough you can't park that early to make it 24h). Generally we wouldn't choose that hotel again.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the train station and about a 20-minute walk from the main city square. The room was a bit dated and could be noisy at times due to the busy street outside, but it was fair for the price. The building is currently undergoing renovation, but it didn't affect our stay too much. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options, and it made every morning a great start to the day.

Location very good, hygiene fine. Polite, kind and helpful staff, specially at the recepcion desk. Room adequate. Spacial organization of the hotel is bad, of dining room specialy: divided in several rooms, with food served (open buffet) only in the farthest, with coffee and juice machines in every such a room. Too many locked gateways, very inconvenient for the group of three people with one card key, so ask for another one. Elevator stops in the mezzanines, not the "full" flors. Prices not high. Who's travelling on limited budget, wanting to be well connected to the city, not expecting too much comfort, will meet their expectations.

For the price, everything was amazing. The staff were incredibly friendly, offered us free later check-out and a free luggage storage after it. The hotel is in a location from which it’s pretty close to every attraction in the middle of the city. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, i would only note that the walls are pretty thin so if someone in the other room would be loud then it might be harder to fall asleep.

I have stayed at Hotel Brixen three times now (November, February, and this March 8-11), and I have left with positive impressions every single time. This is one of those rare hotels that doesn't lose its quality over time. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a great location. But the most important part is the staff. I especially want to thank Evzen. His warm welcome with a familiar face really makes you feel like you are expected here. Thank you to the whole team, and I will definitely return.
