About this hotel

Six-storey hotel Eurostars David was build in a Neo Reinassance building dated from 1884 and completely renovated in 2006 whilst retaining ornamental architectural elements and the original structure in the interior and the exterior. Eurostars David Hotel is the best cultural place for its guests to enjoy the main tourist attractions.

The building itself, dating from 1884, was constructed as a Neo-Renaissance Bohemian palace, and the 2006 renovation kept a number of period features intact rather than stripping the interior back to a generic modern shell. One notable holdover from the original structure is a duplex suite built into the palace's corner turret, reached by its own wooden staircase — a layout that only exists because of the building's 19th-century footprint rather than being purpose-built for a hotel.

Location

The Eurostars David hotel is set near Prague Hotels centre and the main attractions, only a few minutes from the Metro station Charles Square (Karlovo Nmesti), 100 meters from the Vltava River, one kilometer from the old town and the airport is 20 km away.

The hotel stands directly on Rašínovo nábřeží / Náplavka, the Vltava riverside embankment on the Prague 2 side of the river, close to the Náplavka farmers' market and riverboat moorings. It is about a five-minute walk from Frank Gehry's Dancing House, and the Vyšehrad fortress and park — with its cemetery of notable Czech figures and views back over the city — is roughly a kilometre south along the same embankment, making it a pleasant walking route rather than requiring transport.
