★☆☆☆☆ What should have been a pleasant stay turned into a frustrating experience due to poor organization and a complete lack of professionalism. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was the advertised parking. Upon arrival, we were informed that the hotel does not actually have its own parking facility and instead relies on a public parking garage several streets away. To make matters worse, there were no available spaces for our vehicle, leaving us to deal with the problem ourselves. The most shocking part was the attitude of the staff. While we were discussing the parking issue, the receptionist literally picked up her handbag and walked away without a word or any explanation. She simply left. Her replacement had no idea what had happened, knew nothing about the situation, and offered no meaningful assistance. This is not the level of service one expects from a hotel claiming high standards. Problems can happen anywhere, but abandoning guests and leaving them to solve issues on their own is unacceptable. The building may look impressive, but customer service is what defines a hotel experience. Unfortunately, the service we received was disappointing from start to finish. We would not return and cannot recommend this hotel to travelers who expect professionalism, reliability, and honest communication.

This is a beautiful historic hotel with all modern convenience. Lovely art deco interior. Good breakfast and attentive staff. Near the station and walking distance to the sites. Please go there for a different experience to the usual functional modern hotels.

Great privately run hotel literally a few minutes from the station. The building dates from the 1920's and the updated decor and service reflect this. Comfortable, well equipped and clean with old style charm.

This is not a five star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. The ‘French’ restaurant was closed, the bar was closed. The lounge area closes at 19.00!! It is tired looking albeit does reek of old time elegance. No room service; but very clean & well staffed.20 minutes from old town - a few minutes from main train station. I would describe as a very fancy bed & breakfast (except the breakfast is ‘European’ ie not very good - not even orange juice (of any description)

The hotel is definitely not five stars. The room is very basic, the bed is uncomfortable, and the cleanliness is minimal. Tourists sit in the hallways because the lobby closes very early. The breakfast is very basic and lacks variety. It is not worth the amount paid.
