Hotel Liberty
About this hotel
Newly opened luxury Liberty Hotel Prague, located in the very heart of the Prague historical center, on a pedestrian zone at the bottom of the famous Wenceslas Square. The Hotel Liberty came to its existence as a result of a careful and sophisticated reconstruction of a palace built in the Art Nouveau style in the years 1894-96. The Hotel Liberty has been designed to offer a less-anonymous and alternative services than the hotels of the big five-stars chains. For these reasons our motto is "Our rooms have not only a number... but also a soul". We trust we have succeeded to unite the needing of a modern environment with the charm of the old-fashioned style. I stayed at Hotel Liberty recently with a friend whilst on a city break to Prague for 2 nights. We chose this hotel as it was reasonably priced and the location was very central in the Old Town, so it was walkable to all the attractions we visited and made it very convenient for us. Breakfast was included which is always a perk and the options available were great! We loved the pancakes! I booked through Expedia and our booking included a free bottle of fizzy wine, which we enjoyed in the room before going out for a lovely dinner by the river - this was a very nice touch. The hotel was decorated very fancily and the room was very clean. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel!
Stayed there for 7 nights. (2 people in 2 rooms) Overview: When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted friendly and could drop off our luggage and explore the city before checking in. The friendly staff informed us that we had been upgraded (free of charge) and the rooms we got were very spacious. Rooms & Bed: As mentioned above the rooms are very spacious. There is a small entrance with a wardrobe and safe on the one side and the doorway to the bathroom on the other side, if you go straight through the entrance you walk into the bedroom / main room. The main room had a desk with a chair, two small chairs and a table, nightstands and a box spring bed. The room also had a water cooker and some instant coffee and tea bags (free of charge) as well as a Nespresso machine (with coffee pods which cost 50 CZK a capsule). There is a decent amount of outlets in the room. The beds were comfortable, the pillows of good quality and the covers not too heavy nor too light. There is an AC in the room as well that you can set the speed and temperature on. There are good & heavy curtains in the room as well, which block out the light coming from the street. The internet was spotty at times and generally rather slow. For the price one pays, it should be more reliable and faster. The first day we arrived, there were water bottles in the room (free of charge, 0.33l). Those were sadly never restocked. Which isn't generally a big deal, but for being a 4 star hotel, it should be included / restocked. The Bathroom: Bathroom was fine. Depending on the room you either get a bathtub / shower combination or a walk-in shower pod. They have an array of soap, shampoo and conditioner, but no lotion. The one nitpick I would have is, please hand out enough toilet paper, it feels a bit humiliating when you need to go to the reception to ask for more or use tissues etc. The location: The Hotel is right next to the E2 exit at the Mustek Metro Station. Within a minute you are at the old town square and are generally located quite centrally. Absolutely brilliant location. With the Mustek station you are also at one of the intersections of the 3 metro lines, so you can virtually reach any part of Prague from here. 5/5 for location. The Breakfast: The breakfast buffet was pretty good. One can choose different types of bread (toast, or cut pieces from a loaf of bread, croissants, little pastries, bread buns etc.). There is also a choice of cut vegetables, and cold cuts (about 4 different types) and a choice of cheeses, pre sliced. Furthermore one can choose from small american pancakes, omelettes (thin pancakes), and hard boiled or scrambled eggs. For the English Breakfast lovers, there is a choice of pork sausages and bacon to add to the eggs. Not to forget, they also offer yogurt. In terms of drinks, there is water, milk, tea, they offer coffee, and 3 types of juices (apple, multi vitamin, orange). The breakfast was worth the price, although it would have been nice to be have a variety of cold cuts available instead of the same 4 for a week straight. Also depending on the day, sometimes the scrambled eggs were fantastic, sometimes it felt like a square of egg being pressed into shape. But all in all a 4/5 for the breakfast. Overall: It is a good hotel at a great location.
Loved this hotel’s spacious rooms. Good free breakfast included. Staff were friendly and helpful. English is spoken pretty much everywhere we went. Location is excellent for travelers without transportation as everything is within walking distance. Lots of cafes and restaurants. Beautiful city.
Lovely weekend always Pro Location: Perfectly situated in the heart of the Old Town, just a minute’s walk from major tourist attractions. Room: Clean and well maintained, with a very comfortable bed—we slept like babies. Breakfast: One of the best breakfasts I’ve had while traveling in Europe. Although the room is small, there is a great variety of options and everything is delicious. The pancakes are to die for! Plus don’t miss a champagne breakfast. Staff: Extremely friendly and helpful.
Had a great stay and couldn’t ask for more. Location is fantastic! Everything you need is on your doorstep. Our room faced courtyard and was extremely peaceful. Beds were comfortable, especially big, soft pillows. Our room had a balcony which was a nice addition and bathtub which was very nice to use after a walk in cold weather. Breakfast room was lovely, never too crowded and selection of food was perfect. Also breakfast is until 11:00 which is perfect if you like to start your day later. Overall very pleased with our stay.
