About this hotel

Hotel Atos is located in Mala Strana, and very close to the Vltava river. It's at the base of the hilly Petrin park, home of the newly built Victims of Communism Memorial and the funicular cable car which transports passengers to and from the mini 'Eiffel' tower offering amazing views of Prague.

The hotel is set within a period townhouse whose neo-Renaissance facade has been preserved from its 19th-century origins, giving the building a distinct architectural character compared to purpose-built modern hotels elsewhere in the city. Its position on the Smíchov side of the river places it slightly off the main tourist thoroughfares of the Old Town, offering a quieter base while still keeping Prague's principal landmarks — including Kampa Park and the Lennon Wall across the river — within comfortable walking or short tram range.

Location

Central location, near the Legii Bridge, which crosses the Vltava. Halfway across, steps lead to a tree-covered island. On the other side are two of the country's most impressive theatres, and the best shopping area. Most historic sites are within walking distance, especially the winding cobblestone lanes of the old castle district. Several tramlines stop right in front of the hotel. Hotel Atos occupies a neo-Renaissance building dating from the second half of the 19th century at Melnická 13 in Prague 5, on the Smíchov side of the Vltava. The nearest metro station is Anděl, roughly a kilometre away, with Karlovo náměstí and Národní třída also within walking distance on the opposite bank. The Dancing House and the National Theatre are both under a kilometre from the hotel, while Charles Bridge and Prague Castle are reachable on foot in around ten to fifteen minutes, making the location convenient for guests who prefer to explore the historic centre without relying heavily on public transport.

The 35 rooms have minibar, satellite TV and hairdryers. The bathrooms are clean and modern. Rooms have table and chairs and are bright and comfortable.
